Our policies are as follows:

All trips require a valid California Fishing license. All river trips require a valid Steelhead report card also. These are not provided by J.A.G. Fly Fishing. They are available from your local sporting goods store. We will not begin the day, without the license or steelhead card.

Payment, Deposits, and Cancellations: Cash, Zelle, or Venmo are the preferred methods of payment. I do accept all major credit cards through Venmo and Paypal, as well as checks. If PayPal is used, there will be a 3% additional charge (approximately $15.00), including refunds.

Please, call or email if paying via check. All trips require a 50% deposit within 5 days of booking, to reserve your date/s and reservation/s. Should the need for cancellation arise, please contact us as soon as possible. For cancellations made outside of 30 days prior to your trip, we will either reschedule or refund your deposit. If cancellations made inside 30 – 15 days of your trip, we will either reschedule or J.A.G. Fly Fishing will retain 50% of your deposit. Any cancellation within 15 days prior to your trip, your deposit will be forfeit and your trip will be rescheduled for a later date. Your balance will be due upon completion of your trip.

Weather/water condition cancellations are left up to the guides. We fish rain, shine, or snow unless the weather is unsafe to be out in. Unsafe weather conditions may include extremely high winds, lightning, hail, excessive rain, or cold to dangerous to be out in. Our expertise will be in play and we will make the call. We will reschedule your trip or offer a full refund in the event of any of these unforeseen circumstances.

Gratuities are customary. However, it is not expected but greatly appreciated. The industry standard is 15-20% of your trip total.

J.A.G. Fly Fishing is not responsible for lost or damaged items incurred on a guided fly fishing trip. We put the safety of our guests, as our top priority. However, there are certain risks involved in all outdoor activities, and the booking of any trip acknowledges and accepts those inherent risks.
