Northern California has many tributaries that flow into the Lower Sacramento River. We guide several local seasonal creeks within 45 minutes of Chico. All of these creek and streams are artificial, barbless with special regulations and are seasonal. These streams and creeks can be a tough walk and wade at times. Hiking and climbing over large rocks and boulders is a must. We will fish approximately 4 to 6 hours depending on conditions. With good hatches of stones, caddis, mayflies, and midges you can expect wild rainbows that average 8” to 12”. Anything larger is a real prize. We guide one creek that is perfect for beginning fly fishers. This creek is a special place. It’s where my whole family learned how to fly fish. Please call or email for details and availability.
